The Satellite Communication Platform provides an advanced, hands-on learning experience for understanding the fundamentals of satellite communication systems. It includes three main components: the Uplink Transmitter, Satellite Link, and Downlink Receiver, all of which can be conveniently placed in a laboratory setup. If necessary, the satellite transponder can be positioned at an elevated location to simulate real-world applications. The system enables the transmission and reception of multiple types of signals, including audio, video, digital data, PC data, and telemetry information such as temperature and light intensity. The platform operates on a 2.4GHz frequency band with PLL microwave technology, ensuring stable communication across a range of up to 35 meters indoors and 100 meters outdoors.

With built-in speakers and microphones, the system supports audio and video transmission, making it ideal for interactive demonstrations. It also features a detachable dish antenna at each station for enhanced signal reception and improved learning flexibility. A USB port is provided for PC communication, allowing students and professionals to analyze transmitted and received data. The platform supports a variety of learning objectives, such as studying transmission delays, signal modulation techniques, and link failure conditions. The system also enables users to measure carrier-to-noise and signal-to-noise ratios, essential for assessing the efficiency of satellite communication links.

The transmitter comes with selectable frequency conversion and FM modulation for both audio and video signals, offering real-time demonstrations of satellite communication principles. The satellite transponder is equipped with light and temperature sensors, facilitating telemetry operations that allow users to send tele-commands and receive environmental data remotely. A delay knob is incorporated into the system to simulate transmission delays, helping learners understand the time lag in satellite communication. Additionally, the platform includes a function generator for waveform transmission experiments, allowing users to analyze signal behavior across different frequencies.

The downlink receiver features selectable frequency conversion and demodulation capabilities, enabling the simultaneous reception of three signals—audio, video, and tone/voice. This function enhances the learning experience by demonstrating how multiple signals can be transmitted and received through a satellite link. The platform comes with various accessories, including an audio-video cable, patch cords, a microphone, a dish antenna, a USB cable, and PC software. The system operates on a 230V AC power supply, making it compatible with standard electrical configurations.

Designed for both academic and professional training, the platform comes with a two-year warranty and a five-day training program to ensure effective utilization. A comprehensive user manual and an experiment guide are included to assist learners in conducting hands-on experiments and understanding key satellite communication concepts. The inclusion of an optional solar power supply for the transponder unit further enhances its functionality, making it suitable for practical demonstrations of sustainable energy solutions in satellite communication. This all-in-one learning system provides a valuable educational tool for institutions, researchers, and professionals seeking to gain expertise in satellite technology.
