ARM- 2001 PID Control Trainer

Key Feature:

Simulates dead time (transportation lag), integrator, time constant, error detector, and gain for control systems experiments. Adjustable proportional band from 5% to 50%, with a gain range from 2 to 20. Integral time can be adjusted from 10ms to 100ms for precise control. Derivative time adjustment range from 2ms to 200ms for system tuning. Built-in signal sources include set value from -1V to +1V and square and triangular waves at 40Hz. In-built 3 1⁄2 digit Digital Voltmeter (DVM) for accurate DC voltage measurements. All interconnections are made using 2mm banana patch cords, with test points for signal analysis. All ICs are mounted on IC sockets for easy access and replacement. The system is powered by a built-in power supply with +5V/1.5A and ±12V/250mA outputs. The system comes in an attractive, lightweight Australian Pine Wood enclosure for durability and portability.

This system provides a sophisticated set of simulated blocks and built-in signal sources for performing advanced control systems experiments. The system allows for the simulation of various control components and behaviors, including dead time (transportation lag), integrator, time constant, error detector, and gain, enabling thorough analysis of control systems. Additionally, it features adjustable parameters such as proportional band, integral time, and derivative time, allowing for flexibility in experimentation. The built-in signal sources include a set value adjustable from -1V to +1V, a square wave of 1V peak-to-peak (p-p) at 40Hz, and a triangular wave of 1V p-p at 40Hz for generating test signals in different scenarios.

For accurate measurement, the system is equipped with a built-in 3 1⁄2 digit Digital Voltmeter (DVM) for DC measurements. Interconnections between components are made easy with 2mm banana patch cords, and test points are provided at various locations on the board for signal analysis. All ICs are mounted on IC sockets for easy replacement or upgrades, and the PCB is made of high-quality bare board tested glass epoxy with SMOBC (Surface-Mounted Over Bare PCB) construction.

The system is powered by an in-built power supply that provides +5V/1.5A and ±12V/250mA with power-on indication. The system is housed in an attractive, lightweight wooden enclosure made from Australian Pine Wood, ensuring both durability and portability. Standard accessories, a user manual with sample experiments, and an experiment manual are included, along with a 2-year warranty for service and spare parts. Installation, testing, and training are provided for 5 days to ensure proper setup and operation.
